UAE University partnership
EGA partnered with the United Arab Emirates University to engage aspiring STEM talent and commissioned a mural as an inspiring symbol of the role of women in industry.
Introducing gender-inclusive signage
New gender-inclusive signage was unveiled at EGA’s operations on International Women’s Day 2025, highlighting the growing role of women in heavy industry.
EGA partnered with UAE University to engage aspiring STEM talent.
We commissioned a mural by UAE artists, Fatima Al Hammadi and Wesal Al Ali, to serve as an inspiring symbol of the role of women in heavy industry.
Our UAE Heavy Lifters met with students, sharing their experiences and the challenges they have overcome in their fulfilling journeys to industry leadership.
The event was followed by career guidance sessions and job interviews for roles in EGA’s operations.
Introducing gender-inclusive signage
How can women feel welcome if all the signage they see at work shows only men? At EGA, we are building an environment where both men and women can thrive.
One small but symbolic step is the introduction of safety signage with icons representing women as well as men. This new signage was unveiled at EGA’s Casthouses and Potlines on International Women’s Day 2025 and highlights the growing role of women in heavy industry.
EGA has made these designs available to any company that wishes to adopt them, reinforcing the message that heavy industry is for everyone.
